TrueBlue: real food for pets

The challenge

Build a platform in a short timeframe that would allow users to create recurring orders based on specialized, individualized diet analysis for each pet. The idea was not simply to create another e-commerce platform, but to build a system where users could plan meals and receive real-food diet guidance based on breed, weight, size, and other characteristics. The project involved more than order creation and management; it also required developing and implementing multiple integrations, including payment processors, logistics tracking, and marketing tools, making TrueBlue a distinctive platform in the market.

The solution

At Kubo, we have had the opportunity to deliver successful projects across multiple industries. In the pet sector, several years ago we developed Laika, the leading pet e-commerce platform in Colombia and several countries in the region. Thanks to the trust built and experience gained, years later members of the Laika team returned to Kubo with a new project in the sector: TrueBlue, an innovative platform built around a value proposition based on real-food diets for pets.

TrueBlue is the result of custom software development, designed with specific features aligned with its business model. At Kubo, we do not build products around off-the-shelf systems, which allowed us to meet the project's requirements across both the end-user interface and the administrative systems and information management panels.

We used modern technologies for both the backend (Node.js) and frontend (Nuxt.js), building a high-performance, scalable, high-quality platform.
