What is My TAP?

My TAP (My Time and Place) is a one-of-a-kind mobile application that gives people a voice when they are no longer here. It allows users to privately and securely capture and store wishes, messages, memories, and information their loved ones may one day need: from farewell and final resting arrangements to audio, video, and text messages, sentimental possessions, a life story, and a digital vault for important documents such as a will. It does not replace a legal will; it works alongside one as a modern letter of wishes, leaving answers instead of uncertainty so loved ones do not have to piece everything together during the most difficult moments.

The challenge

Build a platform to manage deeply sensitive information across multiple people, with different access levels and automated actions designed around a delicate objective: ensuring the continuity and secure delivery of that information when the account holder passes away. This required solving uncommon technical and design challenges: a multi-profile, multi-access model in which the account holder invites trusted people ('Nominees') while retaining full control over what each person can see and do; automated workflows for handling the moment of death, including unlock requests, configurable access methods (approval by all Nominees, a Direct Access Key, or death certificate verification), and the private, secure release of information only when appropriate; and management of multi-format content (audio, video, photos, text, and documents) privately and securely, always under the account holder's control, with the ability to update wishes at any time without being locked into past decisions or third parties. All of this exists in an emotionally sensitive market where trust, privacy, and security are not extras—they are the heart of the product.

The solution

Kubo developed My TAP end to end: native mobile applications for Android and iOS (Flutter), the backend (Node.js), and the frontend with an administrative back office (Vue.js). The platform runs on a multi-profile system in which the account holder manages Nominees and permissions, alongside multiple automated workflows that securely orchestrate access to information according to the selected method and activate only after death. Its main features—final wishes, messages from the heart, time capsule, digital vault, sentimental possessions, and life story—were built on an architecture designed to protect highly sensitive data and keep the user in full control at every step.

The results

My TAP is an innovative, pioneering project in a sensitive market. Shortly after launch, it was already growing at 20% month over month. Kubo helped bring a truly unique product to life, turning a difficult topic into a thoughtful, secure, and fast-growing platform.
