GoPass: contactless toll payments

The challenge

Miguel Camacho and Felipe Samper, GoPass's CEO and co-founder, were in the process of creating the digital product with vendors that did not have enough experience to develop the GoPass mobile application. This led to delays in the project's launch. At that point, Kubo became a key strategic partner for GoPass.

The project centered on an application designed to facilitate contactless payments at toll plazas, parking facilities, and service stations. To achieve this, the app required a robust integration with the previous provider, which had built a step-by-step validation system for each toll plaza. The application also needed to keep a GPS geolocation system active so users could view routes together with GoPass points of interest, including toll plazas, drive-through services, and parking facilities.

The solution

Kubo took over the mobile development and integration with the existing infrastructure. The application connected electronic payment processes with location features and the visualization of toll plazas, parking facilities, and other services available along each route.
